Aya Howard is a member of the class of 2026 and is one of the writers and photographers for Portrait. This is Aya’s first year on staff as a junior. Aya’s favorite thing about journalism is telling unique stories. When she is not in the newsroom, Aya loves birding, playing cello, and learning new things.

During the band and orchestra’s Night Out fundraiser, orchestra members Tristan Lee (10), Joseph Barger (10), Henry Halbisen (10), Guhyun Jeong (12), David Barger (12), Newman Liao (10) perform for households in the Whitehills neighborhood on Sep. 29. The organization raised over $14,000 in the fundraiser, which covers operating costs for the programs.
