Irish’ I had a Shamrock Shake

One of the best things to come from St. Patrick’s day is undoubtedly the Shamrock Shake.  At home you’re now able to make a dupe of the famous Shamrock Shake from McDonalds with this easy recipe.

  •  2-3 scoops of vanilla ice cream
  • ¼ teaspoon of peppermint extract
  • 9 drops of green food coloring (3 drops if you’re using gel food coloring)
  • ½ cup of Milk

  • Whipped Cream
  • Chocolate Syrup

Put all of the ingredients in a blender besides the toppings, and blend, until a creamy and thick consistency. Now sip and enjoy your delicious Irish delicacy.

Use more or less milk depending on your desired thickness, same with peppermint extract.  Remember to start off light and then if you want more, add more.  Make this similar to how you would make your usual milkshake but then add peppermint extract and food coloring.  There are some shamrock shake recipes that use mint extract instead of peppermint although I cannot say how good it is, due to my grocery store not having any.
